SmartAxis

The SmartAxis software is specifically developed to facilitate rapid and precise alignment of zone axes in crystalline materials, catering to the micro-to nanoscale range. This software seamlessly integrates with the TEM hardware, offering online control and optimization capabilities essential for efficient and accurate zone axis alignment. It is compatible with a range of Thermo Fisher Scientific TEM instruments, including the Spectra 300 (S), Talos F200S, and the F20, among others. This integration not only enhances efficiency but also conserves electron dosage, optimizing both the performance and resource use of the TEM equipment.

Zone axes alignment

Through the SmartAxis program, the transmission electron microscope coils are controlled using beam tilt, allowing for precise adjustments of the incident beam along the crystallographic zone axis. This enables the acquisition of symmetrical diffraction patterns, which are essential for accurate zone axis alignment.

Furthermore, the SmartAxis software calculates the relationship between the zone axis and the double-tilt holder, contributing to the overall alignment process. By performing these operations, the software ensures the achievement of accurate and precise alignment of the desired zone axis in crystal materials.

Overall, the SmartAxis software optimizes the alignment process of zone axes, providing researchers and scientists with an efficient and reliable tool for their studies in the micro- to nanoscale range of crystal materials.
